Formal process in African markets often tells only part of the story. Approvals can depend on relationships that never appear in a regulatory filing, and community consent can matter as much as a government permit. Engaging governments, regulators and communities without understanding who actually influences a decision tends to produce strategies that look sound on paper and fail in the room.

We advise on government and regulatory engagement, stakeholder relationships and institutional navigation, and can support engagement with government, community and other relevant stakeholders where appropriate.
